Board Members
The School Board is the policy-making body of our district. It's responsible for providing an education program for students living within the district boundaries. The School Board is responsible for:
- Hiring and evaluating the superintendent.
- Setting the district’s long-term goals and vision, as written in the Strategic Plan.
- Establishing policies that direct instructional and support programs.
- Approving the district’s yearly budget.
- Approving major contracts and agreements, including those with staff groups.
- Calling elections on bond and other funding proposals.
- Ensuring the policies and priorities are implemented.
- Communicating and engaging with the community.
- Advocating for educational priorities with local and state leaders.
- Recognizing staff and community contributions.
