Dr. Perla Rodriguez, principal of Echo Shaw Elementary, has informed the Forest Grove School District that she has accepted a new position with the Beaverton School District as an Executive Administrator for K-8 Schools. She will remain in her current position through the end of the school year.
Dr. Rodriguez has served with distinction in our district for 25 years, most recently as the principal of Echo Shaw Elementary School. During this time, she has been a pioneer in piloting preschool classes in our district. She has been a key leader in the refinement of our Dual Language Program, serving as our Dual Language Program Coordinator in addition to her principalship duties for a number of years. We congratulate Perla on her new position and wish her continued success in her new endeavor.
The District will engage in a comprehensive hiring process for a new principal for Echo Shaw Elementary beginning the first week of April. We are committed to hiring the best candidate to lead the team at Echo Shaw in continuing the mission of our Dual Language Program and foster the progress of our pre-kindergarten program.
