The Forest Grove School District invites applicants to apply to fill 4 open positions on the Budget Committee. This year the District has one - two year position, two - three year positions and the alternate position open. The alternate serves a one year term and is not a voting member of the committee; however, this is an opportunity for anyone interested in learning the budget process to become familiar with the operations of the district. Many current budget committee members began serving as the alternate.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications: be a registered voter of the District, have lived in the District for one year and cannot be a Forest Grove School District employee.
The Budget Committee reviews the District’s budget and recommends needed changes. The Committee conducts business in evening public meetings held between January and June. The Budget Committee approves the Budget Document and forwards it to the School Board for adoption by the end of June.
Those who wish to apply should fill out the application and turn into the Superintendent’s office no later than 4 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2020.
